During unsolicited press for any major movie, there’s a 50/50 chance that Wired will convince someone involved in the production to answer their most frequently searched Google questions. This is usually a fun insight into the creator’s personality, as well as the psychology of the internet. In a new sequel, Joe and Anthony Russo have decided to participate – but many questions fall into the category of Marvel fans angry at the creative decisions in the Russos films. “I see where this is going,” one of the brothers joked at one point in the process.
The three distinguished ones all came in a row at the end of the video: “Why did the Russo brothers kill Loki?” Why did the Rousseau brothers kill Iron Man? , and “Why do the Rousseau brothers hate the Temple?”
In response to the last question, Joe Russo offered the closest thing you’re likely to get from a serious answer to such a flamboyant question (although this may have been irony): “We didn’t know what to do with him. We were like, ‘This big strong character?’ What do we do with this big, strong character?”
The duo have heard your complaint, though; As soon as the question was revealed, Joe Russo called out, “We cheated the Hulk! We cheated him!”
The other two questions have the same answer, and the other will not satisfy anyone looking for them: “He deserved to die.”
Just for fun, we really hope that Google will start recommending this as the best answer for fans searching for “Why did the Russo brothers kill Iron Man?”.
